Pale Lane - 28th August 2017 - (Article Date: Sunday, September 3, 2017)

August Bank Holiday Monday saw the running of the inaugural Tony Ford Two Stroke Challenge.

Alongside the individual races, all won by Ricky Carter, the challenge itself was a pairs competition. Riders were randomly drawn together with the view that it would even up the chances of who might win the Two Stroke Challenge shield as well as introduce individuals to someone else in the club that they don't really know, both of which were things close to Tony's heart.

At the end of a close run set of races, there was a tie at the top with the better last race positions for both James Bartholomew and Paul Beale giving them the title ahead of Ray Chivers and Anthony Twidle.

Great day's racing to remember a great man...
