 REPORT JUNE 5 HORSHAM

The weather dawned fine on Sunday morning, only the top flat area needed watering which Keith did a good job of. Leaving James only needing to water once late in the day, to ensure safe racing.

James Jackman made the Boretech 250 championship race his own leaving Danny Badd and Vickie Hornsby and Carl Coley arguing over second, with Danny settling the argument with a decisive pass on Carl Coley on the penultimate lap.

Maciey Berdysz took the Sorbothane Full Strike Insoles 450 fourstroke race in his stride.Lee Young was a distance back in second ahead of Watering expert James King in third.

The Ken Leon Ladies class proceeded in a very civilised fashion throughout the day. Finishing in exactly the same order in the scratch race as well as the handicaps. No matter how Tony handicapped them they crossed the line at the end in the same pecking order.

Charlotte Wiliams first Amanda Schmidt second,Dawn Burrows third and Danielle Whelan fourth.

Things were more variable in the pre 95s although machine troubles cut  the numbers as usual. Danny Turner took the Elderfield Mcs Pre 95s scratch race from Andrew Longley and Adam Hawkwood.Mark Jordan led away the machine age handicap  but was passed mid race by Chad Sait who’s temperamental Maico stayed together long enough to finish this race. Danny Turner surged through to second from Andrew Longley. James Burnard had a brief spell as pace setter in the ability handicap, before Anthony Barrett took up the leaders baton. Hanging on for four laps, before the posse close in. Headed by Danny Turner mark jordan and Andrew Longley.

Alex Hornsby had a good and bad day. He won the first A group, wrecked the front wheel in the second, fitted a new front wheel to win the last leg. This let a dead chuffed Connor Disano with the second leg win and two seconds take the overall. James Jackman was just too fast for Joe Maguire in the third place battle.
