ELVETHAM FOREST APRIL 24 REPORT


 All around Elvetham  Forest rain and snow were falling, last Sunday. However The Forest was dry with track once again in prime condition. Unfortunately the bad weather once again affected the entry. Motto come and see before you cry off racing on a Sunday.


 Tallon Aspden was the undisputed star of the twenty minute 450 4stroke championship race. Even the super vets Steve Elford and Dave Hopkins could deny the youngster victory


 Colin Eartham showed the rest of the Boretech 250 4stroke championship boys the way home in their 20 min championship race. Although Jason Skinner had him glancing over his shoulder throughout. Jason Cole was third not far back.


 Danielle Miller chuntered her veteran bike to victory in the Ken Leon Ladies Scratch race, Jade Bolton flew to second place ahead of championship leader Amanda Schmidt. Dawn Burrows, back from a Winter layoff, led away the age handicap, hanging on until midrace when the South Coast Express known as Dawn Miller steamed through to win. Amanda Schmidt thought she had second place in the bag until Jade Bolton jetted into the runner-up spot on the last lap.Danielle Whelan pottered off to lead the ability handicap for a lap, before Charlotte Williams tootled by. It was Danielle Miller who took over the lead  on the third lap. That was the triple win secured. Jade Bolton landed the number two spot with Amanda Schmidt  in third.


 Ben Stark borrowed dads old Honda to snatch the Elderfield Mcs Pre 95s scratch race way  ahead of Toby Wright and John Haxton. Mark Jordan still sorting out his newly acquired Susuki led away the machine age handicap. He lasted two laps before John Haxton took over for the next two, then Ben Stark swept by to win. Toby Wright edged by John on the penultimate lap, but John took second at the flag. Mark Jordan was again first by the end of the first lap, hanging on until two laps from home When Adam Tabrett took over. On the last lap Ben Stark got by the duelling duo of Adam Tabrett  Mark Jordan. Adam made an error and Mark retook second place, John Haxton also nipping through for third.


 Tallon Aspden charged to a hat trick of wIns  in the A group. Leaving Lee Hopcroft second first time out from Connor Disano followed by two thirds to give Lee second overall. The fast but erratic Steve Elford was second in the middle leg.with Connor Disano runner up in the last leg. But the consistent Dave Hopkins took third overall by a point with three fourths. Dave also retained his Gut Busters support Championship lead. Steve Elford took ov er the lead in the C.I.Sport Main Championship.
