REPORT DECEMBER 13 HORSHAM
Thanks to the effort put in draining at Horsham some weeks before . Then the 3 hours of digger work on Sunday morning, the track was in very good condition, especially considering the heavy rainfall in the week before. The hills were not graded, for the reason that the overnight rain, would have made them deep slop and extremely slippery. This time of the year it is better to bumpy dryish hills rather than wet sloppy ones.A great day was had by all.
Paul Williams shot away to lead the first A group under severe attack from Craig Daffin and Jake Deacon.Three laps from the end Jake slipped by Craig, and set about Paul, snaffling the lead on the penultimate lap.
Paul again nipped round the first bend to lead in the second leg, but this time Jake was much quicker getting on Pauls case. Taking over the lead mid race and scooting off to win. Craig Daffin was again third.
With Paul retired with a clapped wrist, Craig Daffin stormed away at the front, while Jake Deacon had to battle by Shaun Wright, Ben Robb,Mark Morris Jamie Chafter, one each lap dragging Ricky Carter with him.Until on the last lap , they both whipped by a surprised Craig Daffin.
